Reading: Facebook dominates how people share content on the Web (via @allanschoenberg)

Not surprising; however, Facebook still is a walled garden. I think what's more remarkable is how close Twitter is to e-mail. I would not have guessed it was THAT close.

In addition, people may share a lot of links on Facebook, but I wonder how the click-through rates compare. I'd imagine they're still much, much higher in e-mail.

Love this chart of sharing. Do you know the % of overlap of FB and Twitter? (i.e. I have my FB status synced toTwitter)

I don't think that was taken into consideration, but I'm sure it's quite small. Facebook has hundreds of millions of users; Twitter only a couple of million. And most people on Twitter don't hook up the account to FB, I'm sure!

This is really interesting data. Twitter is about to overtake email in sharing.

Most of our site activity does come from Facebook, with twitter second. It's hard to tell how many email clickthroughs there are since ppl may copy and paste, but it pales in comparison to FB & twitter.
